Sue H. Abreu, MD, JD, FACNM, is an engineer, nuclear medicine physician, and attorney who consults for corporations and healthcare organizations. Known for her insightful analytical abilities, she specializes in nuclear medicine product development, professional services and organizational management. In 2002, she retired from the U.S. Army Medical Corps after rising to the rank of colonel and serving as the nuclear medicine consultant to the Army Surgeon General. Throughout her career she has focused on quality services and has been active in multiple professional organizations including serving as president of the American College of Nuclear Physicians in 2001 (now known as the American College of Nuclear Medicine). She is past President of the ICANL (Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories) and serves as an application reviewer. She served as a 2006 Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program. Dr. Abreu holds active medical licenses in Oklahoma and North Carolina and is a member of the Oklahoma Bar. In 2011, she received the American College of Nuclear Medicine Lifetime Achievement Award.
